Pia Heininger has been working on her idea for about two years: she wants to realize a new, innovative primary school.

Now the teacher – she teaches at the primary school in Gernlinden – has presented her plans to the public for the first time.

Maisach – In the Maisach municipal council, she campaigned for support for her project, for which she founded an association called Innovative Education with a few fellow campaigners at the end of 2021.

An investor and a plot of land – that's what the 38-year-old mother of two children needs for her school.

She would prefer to build it in the municipality of Maisach.

Otherwise also in the district.

The property should be 1,500 to 3,000 square meters, and the building should accommodate a maximum of 100 children.

The proximity to other schools is important so that you can use existing sports areas and don't have to build them yourself.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

Heininger emphasizes that her concept is not a criticism of the state school system - even though working there is made more difficult by the general conditions.

She sees her school as a supplement, as an additional educational opportunity.

A state-approved private elementary school is planned.

The school fees will probably be 170 to 400 euros a month, depending on the income of the parents, who form a community of solidarity ("It's not an elite school").

The concept is important: there are no classes or separate grades.

The teacher becomes the learning companion.

Instead of frontal teaching in front of rows of seats, there is a shared transfer of knowledge and skills in open spaces.

A teacher takes care of a maximum of ten children.

Real inclusion is only possible through personal support.

Heininger wants to offer an “educational all-day”: with a core time of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and flexible booking times of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

She also has holiday care in mind.

start small

After approval by the government everything should start small: with about 25 children (five to seven years) and three tutors.

Then you want to grow slowly – and get state recognition.

This is important for grants and the seamless transition of children to secondary schools.

The 38-year-old received a lot of praise for her concept from the municipal council.

The factions will now take a closer look and then discuss whether to offer a plot of land.

Pia Heininger and her board colleagues – an SEO manager, a development engineer, a teacher and a guild manager – meanwhile want to expand their network in the education sector and to companies.

And continue to promote your idea in Maisach and in the district.
