At least two dead and 10 injured after a shooting at an Iowa nightclub

Authorities in Iowa reported this Sunday that at least two people were killed and 10 others were injured in a shooting at an Iowa nightclub.

Cedar Rapids City Police said in a statement that they are investigating the 1:27 am shooting at Taboo Nightclub and Lounge and that the injured are receiving medical care at several local hospitals.

Police said they were patrolling downtown when the shooting happened, so they were able to respond immediately.

He added that the area is already safe and there are no threats to public safety.

Authorities are interviewing witnesses and investigators are at the crime scene.

Last month, a teenager was killed and two others seriously injured during a shooting at a high school in this state.

And earlier this month, six people were killed and 12 injured after a mass shooting in downtown Sacramento, California.
