Just eight minutes later, the Reds reacted thanks to Diogo Jota's goal.
A goal from Gabriel Jesus in the 36th minute put City back on top, but Liverpool leveled things up again early in the second half through Sadio Mané.

This meeting generated a lot of expectation because the leadership of the table was at stake.
Before the match, City (73 units) was one point above Liverpool (72).
With the result of this Sunday, the two teams went up one unit and, therefore, everything remains the same and the English league is still open six days from the end of the Premier League.
