Elements of the judicial police of the General Electricity Company of Homs organized 123 seizures of illegal electricity charges during a month in Homs and its countryside.
Engineer Bassam al-Rifai, director of Homs Electricity Company, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the inspection tours included the areas of Al-Bayada, Al-Khalidiya, Ashera neighborhood, Deir Baalba, Al-Qarabis, Al-Fakhoura, Karm Al-Lawz, Al-Qusour, Al-Adawiya, the displaced, Al-Sitteen Street, Al-Sham Road, Jourat Al-Shayah, Al-Khrab Street, Al-Sham Road, Al-Sina’a, Taldo and Talbiseh villages.
In a related context, a biscuit factory was recently seized in the industrial city of Hassia, which illegally draws electricity through an underground electric cable.
The director of the Homs Electricity Company stated that through the experience of the officers, the location of the cable was determined, pointing out that such cases are constantly monitored in the industrial city.
According to Al-Rifai, these tours contribute to improving the electricity situation in those areas and reducing violations that negatively affect the electrical network in the governorate.
