After three years and four months, yesterday (Sunday) Alex Arpen, a 61-year-old resident of Bat Yam, was arrested on suspicion of committing the offenses of causing death with the initial intent of 31-year-old Michael Soldaza. His detention was extended today at the Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv.
Recall that the incident began in the absence of Soldzea, who lived in Bat Yam.

Arpen added in his defense: "If I were a murderer, I could have fled the country a long time ago and I did not do it."
As stated, Judge Hilu Assad extended his detention by seven days.
"This is a reasonable suspicion, satisfactory at this stage of the proceedings and even more so, and certainly justifies the arrest of the suspect in order to further advance the investigation," the judge said.
She said, "A look at the confidential report shows that there are a number of investigative actions that necessitate the arrest of the suspect.
In light of the circumstances of the commission of the offense, the suspect poses a danger that cannot be mitigated by an alternative to detention at this stage. "
