After ten years, the Isen brass band has a new chairman: Regina Kellner no longer appears, Bernhard Stangl has been elected.

Isen

– After its annual general meeting, the brass band Isen starts the new association year with a newly composed board.

Regina Kellner has given up her position at the top of the association after more than ten years.

In her report, the outgoing chairwoman not only addressed the past years, which were quieter due to corona, but also reviewed her time on the board.

In doing so, she not only spoke of membership and performance numbers, but also paid attention to what "happened between the numbers".

It reminds of creative announcements at the concerts, Brazilian and Bavarian evenings, the advertising videos and the club's anniversary.

“The pictures in which we did something together are what stick,” she emphasized.

The now 100 active musicians usually play 70 to 80 performances a year.

During her time as chair, Kellner helped organize around 560 concerts.

Because of Corona, however, club life was shut down, the musicians were no longer allowed to play together and only about half of the performances were possible, mainly with church music.

"It's looking better this year," she promised.

The spring concert at the weekend already proved that.

From erecting the maypole to tapping the beer for Isen's 1275th birthday to the procession into the folk festival, even more is planned.

During the new elections, Kellner handed over these performances to her successor.

Because she did not make herself available again for a term at the top of the club.

When she was just over ten years old, she had reached her appointed time as chairwoman.

"It's good for a club if it doesn't have the same chairman for too long," she said in a subsequent conversation.

She also finds more time to write her own songs.

She also emphasized: "I'm not completely out of the dust." She still has numerous ideas for the youth brass band.

Youth spokeswoman Julia Pollmann also resigned from her post.

Before that, she went into the concerts of the youth brass band and the performance badges that were passed.

"It's impressive what was possible despite Corona".

For example, the young people took part in the spring festival of the farmer's market or the Christmas live stream.

In the two Corona years, ten young musicians also received the bronze achievement badge, nine the silver achievement badge and one the gold achievement badge.

Under the election leadership of Mayor Irmgard Hibler, the board was re-formed.

The former treasurer Bernhard Stangl takes over the chair for Regina Kellner.

In her words of welcome, Hibler wished everyone a good start after the difficult Corona times and discussed the rehearsal home, which has not yet been realized.

This is now on the list for the new chairman Stangl, as he explained in a subsequent conversation.

In addition, the primary goal is to “continue the good start” that the brass band presented with their spring concert.
