Breslav followers threaten to return to Joseph's tomb: "Freedom of worship is trampled, we will enter tonight as well"
Tensions in the holy compound reach a peak, and in the convoy that was shot tonight they say they intend to return to the place.
"We will do what we do every night since Operation Defensive Shield," said one of the followers.
The threats come after two days in which the compound was vandalized and wounded by gunfire from two followers who entered Joseph's tomb

Tensions around Joseph's tomb continue tonight (Monday) and Breslav's followers are threatening to arrive at the holy compound tonight, without coordination with the security forces.
The threats come after two days in which the compound was vandalized by Palestinians and a shooting incident in which two Hasidim were injured who entered the Tomb of Joseph located in Nablus.
"Tonight we will return to the grave," said Joseph, one of Breslav's followers who was present in the convoy that was shot.
He recounted the incident and drew criticism for violating the freedom of movement of worshipers in the compound.
"We arrived in a convoy of 15 cars in Nablus, we came to fix the vandalism, we brought paint, suddenly a Palestinian police car clung to us and opened the window and started firing at the last vehicle in the convoy," he said.

"Everyone knows we come only to pray at the grave and go. Tonight we will enter, too, like every night since the Defensive Shield," Yosef continued.
He protested the freedom of movement and worship in the holy places for Jews, although the compound is located in the Palestinian Authority: "We expect the reality to change and we will be able to exercise freedom of movement in the State of Israel. Traffic to certain places, "he said.
"It's problematic, there's freedom of worship and freedom of movement that has been trampled on endlessly. Why I will not be able to enter Joseph's grave, why I will have to risk myself and do it that way, why it will not be in an orderly manner. Joseph is not one of the nation's founders."

In the night incident, two Breslav followers were shot and lightly to moderately wounded after entering the grave area without coordination with the IDF. The two were shot by Palestinian gunmen
on the main road leading to the grave of a vehicle that bypassed them from the opposite lane.
The incident took place after about 100 Palestinians broke into the compound on the night between Saturday and Sunday, causing extensive damage to the area.
