A dispute probably escalated in Munich early on Sunday morning.

One man died from a stab wound.

Now the police have released the first details about the crime.

Update from April 11, 7:03 a.m

.: The police received the emergency call around 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.

A little later, a man dies of stab wounds in a Munich hospital.

The man's identity has clearly not yet been verified, the Munich police said in a press release on Sunday evening.

According to initial findings, a man was seriously injured by a stab in a dispute on Sonnenstrasse.

The background to the crime was initially unclear.

According to the police, nothing was initially known about the murder weapon either.

The police are not only looking for the perpetrator, but also for possible other participants and witnesses.

"According to current knowledge, several people related to the crime could be at large," said the spokesman.

However, the investigators assume that it was not an argument between two groups

According to reports, however, this act is not related to the other bloody events that recently took place in Munich.

Those involved would not belong to the two Romanian clans who had caused a stabbing in front of the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday.

Investigators also consider a connection with the gang conflict in Milbertshofen, in which two young groups attacked each other, to be unlikely.

The police immediately cordoned off the crime scene, and the forensics team meticulously searched the sidewalk in the hours.

Since the murder weapon is still missing, it is still unclear whether the man was really stabbed with a knife.

The police are not only looking for the perpetrator, but also for possible other participants and witnesses.

Early on Sunday morning, a man at Stachus was probably attacked with a knife and fatally injured.

The police have now released new details about the incident.

At around 6 a.m., the Munich police received the information about a dispute between two people at Sonnenstraße 2 via the emergency call 110. According to initial findings, one of the two men was seriously injured by a stab.

Rescue workers who were summoned then took him to a Munich hospital.

He succumbed to his injuries there shortly afterwards.

The identity of the man has not yet been clearly established.

"According to the current state of investigation, several people who could be connected to the crime are at large," says the police report.

Further information on the means of the crime or the background are not yet known.

The homicide squad has since taken over the investigation.

He was then taken to a hospital, but could not be saved.

The police are now looking for several fugitives.
