Ukraine war: Selenskyj on the phone with Scholz - and praises German "change"

First report :

Moscow/Kiev – On Sunday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj spoke to Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the phone.

It was about three specific things in the course of the Ukraine conflict: how to hold war criminals accountable, how to tighten sanctions against Russia and how to get Russia to seek peace.

While the Ukrainian side blames Russia entirely, the attacking country takes the opposite view.

Important in connection with the escalation in Ukraine are the predecessors that took place between 2014 and 2021 in the east.

"They grabbed Crimea, we're supposedly to blame for that," said the President of Ukraine.

"They destroyed every normal life in the Donbass." The head of government was also pleased that the German position had "changed in favor of Ukraine" recently.
