The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces continue to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine to protect the residents of Donbass, and that yesterday they targeted 78 Ukrainian military facilities and destroyed the S-300 air defense system.
The spokesman for the Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing today that the Russian army, using high-precision missile weapons and sea-based Kalibr, destroyed the S-300 anti-air defense system, which was camouflaged, in a cell in the southern suburbs of Dnipropetrovsk. The Kyiv regime obtained it from one of the European countries, confirming the destruction of the launch pad and the killing of 25 members of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Konashenkov pointed out that last night, high-precision air missiles were used in the town of Novoslovka to destroy a base of Ukrainian weapons and combat equipment for anti-air defense, including Buk-M1 and Osa-Akm missile systems. Two ammunition depots and a radio radar detection and targeting station attached to the S-300 system in the town of Oslonov.
Konashenkov stated that as a result of the bombing of the towns of Vizdvizhenkoye 2 and Ivanovka in the Donetsk region, 9 tanks, 5 Akatsya 2S3 self-propelled guns and 5 BM21 Grad rocket launchers were destroyed, and more than 60 Ukrainian Nazis were neutralized.
He pointed out that the Russian anti-air defense forces had shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft in the air, in the vicinity of the city of Izum, and three marches in the towns of Balaklya in the Kharkov province, Gulay Pole and Volnavakha, and another Valkyria drone in the vicinity of the town of Kalininskoye in the Nikolaev region. A Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter is in the air in the vicinity of the town of Posadpomerovskoye under intense machine-gun fire.
Konashenkov stated that the tactical operational aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces targeted 78 Ukrainian military installations, including 3 command posts, a radar radio station for detection and targeting, 3 sites for near-range anti-air missile systems, 4 ammunition depots, 58 fortified posts and centers for mobilizing Ukrainian combat equipment.
Konashenkov stated that since the start of the special operation, 129 aircraft and 99 helicopters have been shot down, 234 S-300, Buk-M1 and OSA-KM anti-aircraft systems have been destroyed, 441 drones have been destroyed, 239 rocket launchers and 909 artillery guns have been destroyed. Field and mortars, as well as 2003 Special Military Vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
