Construction work on the B15 Isen Bridge will start on April 26th.

Delivery traffic from the north is allowed to drive over for another week.

The bridge is immediately closed to traffic.

Dorfen – One week after Easter things get serious: “On Tuesday, April 26th, we will close the B 15-Isenbrücke from around 9 a.m.,” says Thomas Jakob, spokesman for the Munich State Building Authority.

From this day onwards, through traffic will be largely diverted around Dorfen.

Only local delivery traffic can cross the Isenbrücke from the north in one lane - but only until May 3rd and up to the construction site at the B 15 junction with Rosenaustrasse.

However, the bridge is completely closed to motorists, Jakob writes in his construction site newsletter.

  • Preparatory work for the demolition of the B15 Isenbrücke begins at the same time.

Jakob reports that the water management office is removing mud from the Isen near the bridge.

In addition, the temporary bridge will be completed.

When this is available to pedestrians, cyclists and rescue workers, the demolition of the Isen Bridge begins.

  • The B 15 junction with Rosenaustraße is also on the agenda.

Their completion will also start from April 26th.

The asphalt surface layer and the induction loop for the traffic-dependent traffic light control are still missing there.

The work is expected to last until May 3rd.

During this time, the intersection is completely closed to traffic.

  • The city center can be reached during the entire construction period.

However, the traffic routing changes: At the Wesner Tor, traffic from Johannisplatz towards the city center has priority over oncoming traffic.

The western section of the Herzoggraben will be closed to motor vehicles (except for residents).

The local road An der Leiten becomes a one-way street and may only be driven on from the direction of Mehlmühle in the west direction, in the opposite direction it goes via Hampersdorf.

In addition, the city has issued parking bans on Erdinger Straße, on Schäfflergasse and in the western part of the Herzoggraben as well as on the Leiten.

They serve to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.

  • Local diversions: Rosenaustrasse can be reached via Haager Strasse, Gartenstrasse and Ludwig-Uhland-Strasse via Zinniengasse, Dahliengasse, Ludwig-Anzengruber-Strasse and Moosener Strasse.

During this period, there is an absolute ban on stopping on Haager Strasse.

Once the work is complete, the crossing will be open to traffic again.

Then the Rosenaustraße towards the city center becomes a one-way street, the Haager Straße towards the city center.

  • Bus traffic: During the bridge closure, lines 564, 565 and 9403 as well as the city bus will run according to the replacement timetable.

Among other things, the buses cannot drive through the Wesner Tor and therefore turn around at Marienplatz.

From there you can walk to the bus stop “Krankenhaus West” or “Volksfestplatz”.
