The National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Sweden and Europe honored 250 male and female students who excelled in the schools of the sons and daughters of the martyrs and their teachers, during a ceremony (Basmat Amal 3), which was held on the stage of the Martyrs’ Girls Schools in Mezzeh, Damascus.

The honoring ceremony included a presentation by the choir of the Martyrs' Schools, which included a group of patriotic songs and folk songs under the supervision of Maestro Imad Tariqji, an artistic paragraph entitled (We Renew the Covenant), and an expressive national painting presented by the girls of the Martyrs' Schools.

Major General Lamis Rajab, director of the boarding schools for the sons and daughters of martyrs, pointed out that these prestigious and lofty schools founded by the founding leader Hafez al-Assad graduate many outstanding students annually, indicating that honoring constitutes a motive for these students before the final exam to encourage them to further excel and attain higher grades.

Ziad Zahreddine, Director of the Consulate and Expatriates Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praised the role of these schools in caring for and honoring the sons and daughters of the martyrs despite the harsh conditions that had passed on Syria, and conveying a strong message that Syria had won through these young leaders who are a title for the next stage, pointing out that these schools are an expression of what he presented from sacrifices in this country.

In turn, Dr. Yamen Youssouf, Director of the Deputy Foreign Minister’s Office, pointed out that today’s event is an acknowledgment of the thanksgiving of the righteous martyrs to the Syrian people, pointing out that these sons continue the message of their martyred fathers in building the nation with science, knowledge and pen to make the distinction that this honor comes as an encouragement to continue.

The director of the ceremony, Firas Qasqas, stated in a speech on behalf of the President of the Union, Dr. Kabi Isho, that the Union emphasizes, through this event, the importance of contributing to building the homeland and its future, and the need to unify the efforts of Syrians in the expatriate for the sake of serving the country, as the Union works to bridge the distances between Syrians in different countries on the one hand and between them And between the motherland on the other hand, by holding periodic forums and reviving national occasions, and telling the world that their roots are deep in their homeland, no matter how far away they are.

The ceremony was attended by Director of the Directorate of Martyrs, Wounded and Missing Major General Bassam Berri, Director of the Party Preparation School Bassam Abu Abdullah, a number of members of the Union in Syria and a number of artists.
