The Population Authority admits: Contrary to instructions, we tried to deport Ukrainian refugees immediately after the interrogation
The court ruled that the Immigration Authority violated the procedures according to which Ukrainian citizens who were refused entry to Israel would not be deported for 48 hours. This was due to an appeal by a mother and daughter who were put on a plane hours after the refusal. At least in 24 cases, and she did justice to herself "

The Tel Aviv District Court ruled today (Monday) that the Population and Immigration Authority violated the court's directive not to deport war refugees from Ukraine for 48 hours from the moment they were denied entry to Israel.
This, following the case of a mother and daughter who escaped the war, and immediately after their entry was denied, were put on a plane back to Ukraine.
The court decision stated that the authority violated the procedures in at least 24 cases.
"A particularly serious violation, the authority did justice to itself," Judge Michal Agmon-Gonen wrote.
The decision said that just because the mother was facing expulsion of the appeal, a number of other cases were revealed in which the Population Authority ignored court instructions received about two weeks ago that the deportation of refugees should be delayed to allow them to appeal and subject the authority's decision to judicial review.
Judge Agmon-Ronen also wrote that the Immigration Authority did not pass on the instructions to its employees at Ben Gurion Airport.

The judge's decision states that the director general of the authority himself admitted that he violated the court's instructions. .
"It follows that the Population and Immigration Authority, did justice to itself," the judge continued, referring to the case of the mother and daughter, and the subsequent cases that were discovered in its wake.
"In the case before the violation of the court's instructions is particularly serious, since it is an attempt by the authority to prevent judicial review of its decisions, we would avoid applying the rules of administrative law to its actions. The authority did not make any attempt to comply with the court order.
