The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces took control of the Ukrainian village of Kamenka, which is considered one of the most fortified defensive positions of the Ukrainian forces in the Kharkov region.
"The crews of the T-72 tanks destroyed the Ukrainian tank and anti-tank lines during a difficult battle," the ministry said in a statement today, noting that the control of the village allowed the main forces to continue their advance in Kharkov.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced earlier today that its forces continue to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine to protect the residents of Donbass, and that yesterday they targeted 78 Ukrainian military facilities and destroyed the S-300 air defense system.
