Jürgen Drews has not only made a name for himself in the hit industry, but also as the "King of Mallorca".

His wife Ramona did not think much of this nickname at first.

The 48-year-old feared that he could even end her husband's career.

Not only in Germany, but also in his second home Mallorca, the songs of the 77-year-old should not be missing at any party.

This has recently earned him the nickname "King of Mallorca" - but his wife Ramona (48) didn't like it at all at first!

The Mallorca shows from "Wetten, dass..?" have always been one of the big TV highlights of the summer for years.

In 1999, Thomas Gottschalk (71) greeted from the sunny Balearic island and of course also had local hero Jürgen Drews as a guest there.

The hit star, who turned 77 at the beginning of April and was heartily greeted by his daughter Joelina on this occasion with emotional birthday wishes, was given his legendary nickname at the time: during the "Wetten, dass..?" evening he was honored with the 71st birthday year-old presenter as "King of Mallorca" - what a majestic description!

"That was the birth of König von Mallorca," the hit star still remembers the day that gave him his iconic nickname, as he reports in the latest edition of his podcast.

He himself was quite taken with Thomas Gottschalk's nobility.

His wife Ramona, on the other hand, did not like the new nickname, as Jürgen Drews openly reports: "When I came up with the title and sang it in my studio, she came down by accident." His sweetheart had "gone bad" and she " appalled," the 77-year-old says cheerfully.
