The Environment Directorate, in cooperation with the Department of Parks in Lattakia and the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union, carried out a afforestation campaign on one of the islands of the node of Aleppo at the entrance to the city of Lattakia.
Engineer Rosan Salha, Director of the Awareness Department in the Environment Directorate, told SANA reporter that this campaign comes within the afforestation plan launched by the Environment Directorate on the Feast of the Tree, where 200 trees were planted from grasses such as Zuwarina, Robinia, pine and acacia.
Engineer Rabie Abdeen from the Parks Department of the Services and Maintenance Directorate pointed out that the campaign contributes to spreading vegetation cover and covering the largest possible area of Lattakia gardens with green spaces to give a beautiful appearance to the city's entrance.
In turn, the volunteer, Marah Badour, said: We participate in decorating the area and supporting the vegetation cover after the recent fires, as well as promoting the idea of volunteering, which contributes to the aesthetics of the city and its countryside.
