The American writer Dave Lindorff criticized the United Nations General Assembly for yielding to American and Western pressures to suspend Russia's membership in the Human Rights Council, while ignoring the crimes and outlaw practices committed by the American administrations over decades in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and others.

In an article published by the "Eurasia Review" website, Lindorff mentioned examples of Washington's violations, including the repeated air aggression on Syrian territory on the orders of former US President Donald Trump, stressing that these attacks are war crimes, given that Syria does not pose any threat to the United States, and the presence of The US military never obtained a permit from the United Nations.

He added: The same applies to George Bush, who ordered the invasion of Iraq in 2003, using Western allegations that “Baghdad possessed weapons of mass destruction” as a pretext for this. He pointed out that the extent of the destruction that occurred in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian military operation appears to be very slight in comparison to the destruction that it caused. It was carried out by US forces in Iraqi cities such as Baghdad, Fallujah, Mosul and the Syrian city of Raqqa.

The writer pointed out that all the illegal US military interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya and even Ukraine came without any of these countries posing a threat to the Americans, and none of the American crimes committed in them were put to any vote in the UN Security Council.

Afghanistan is also, according to the American writer, one of the countries that was the victim of the greatest crimes of the United States, as the American occupation of it continued for 20 years, during which the country witnessed devastation and destruction and entered a cycle of chaos and poverty even after the withdrawal of American forces.

Lindorff, an American writer and journalist based in Philadelphia, explained that the United States is directly responsible for the deaths of at least 363,000 civilians, many of them children, since September 2001, most of them in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as in many other illegal military operations that targeted Washington. Other countries are under the pretext of the "war on terror" or "the defense of freedom".

Lindorff ridiculed the allegations and allegations that the United States and its allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "NATO" resorted to attacking the Russian special military operation in Ukraine at a time when the Western and American media were covering up the war crimes committed by Washington, although they are well documented.

Lindorff was surprised by the ignorance of American citizens about the facts of matters and the crimes committed by their successive administrations under the pretext of defending their security and their rush without any awareness of the facts to demand the imposition of sanctions on Russia and not on their country, which committed the most heinous crimes against humanity.

Lindorff stressed that the American media, which claims to be independent and impartial, should refer at least to Washington's crimes, expressing his shame as a journalist in the United States.
