District – The Architekturforum Miesbacher Kreis continues with the proven board and has dedicated itself to new tasks.
Corona doesn't stop it.
"The corona pandemic had us in a stranglehold for the past two years," said Werner Pawlovksy, chairman of the board, at the annual general meeting of the Architekturforum Miesbacher Kreis.
The regulations did not allow for many events and appointments.
Nevertheless, in his retrospect, he summed up that the forum did not remain in a state of shock.
The time was used for a digital rejuvenation and a new website went online, professional reinforcements were made in the marketing area - and above all they made themselves felt with the opinion research on building culture in the town halls of the district of Miesbach.
Many projects started despite Corona
Five questions to the mayors as the starting point of a joint discourse on building, preserving and shaping homeland in the 21st century, which should be followed in September 2021 by a lively kick-off event with all 17 incumbents of the municipalities in the Holzkirchner Fools-Theater.
Despite Corona, there was a lot of momentum, according to the consensus of the almost all members who appeared in the Schliersee local history museum.
Progress has been made, as an independent and advisory forum of experts, to give impetus to the fact that the lack of housing, overtourism, structural change in agriculture and land use can only be tackled in a multilateral and constructive dialogue.
Intensify regional advisory services
Accordingly, it was also agreed to vote unanimously for a further two years in trust in the tried-and-tested leadership of the association, with Werner Pawlovsky and Barbara Söldner as chairmen, Toni Scherer as secretary and Ludwig Hohenreiter as treasurer.
Herbert Wagenpfeil and Johannes Wegmann remain in office as auditors.
With the discharge of the old and the election of the new board, the planners then moved from the formal to the content-related part - and also confirmed the orientation of the work along the association principles for the next few months: political and economic independence, intensification of the regional consulting offer to planners , authorities and citizens as well as targeted exchange with national bodies.
Criticism of the current demolition culture
The joint struggle for building culture in the district of Miesbach is therefore going into the next rounds with expertise, experience and zest for action - there are enough acute topics with considerable thermal energy: Leader projects, new hotels, loose housing - and the current culture of demolition, which will still be the subject of one in the spring will be the first public lecture.
