The city and police of Düsseldorf have announced a new catalog of fines for autoposers.

They want to meet again this year on “Car Friday”.

Düsseldorf – Good Friday is generally known to be a silent holiday.

Clubs and discotheques are then not allowed to open, weekly or flea markets are prohibited and folk festivals are also not allowed to take place.

The so-called "Car Friday", which is "celebrated" on the same day, has nothing to do with silence at all.

Because on Friday, April 15, 2022, the autoposer and tuner scene will meet all over NRW and thus also in the state capital Düsseldorf.

The police and the city are already preparing accordingly, as reported by 24RHEIN.

Dusseldorf increases penalties for autoposers – fines of up to 10,000 euros are imminent

The previous fine of 80 euros for a violation of “autoposing” apparently deterred very few, not even in 2021, when the police in North Rhine-Westphalia were already carrying out large-scale checks.

That is why the penalties are now being tightened.

So a sensitive fine for repeat offenders was decided.

The following penalties are now in place for autoposers in Düsseldorf:

  • If an autoposer is conspicuous for the first time, it is threatened with a so-called fine if it happens

    again

    .

  • The "basic case", i.e. loud engine roar, obstruction of road traffic and much more, will in future be

    sanctioned with a fine of

    5,000 euros .

  • If third parties are endangered, this fine increases to

    10,000 euros

    .

  • The threat of fines is

    valid for

    three

    years after the first offense.

Dusseldorf: “Car-Friday” – controls on the Rhine and on Königsallee

Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that some will show off their tuned cars on the coming Easter weekend.

Even if the scene has been quiet in recent weeks, Good Friday always acts as a kind of starting signal, said a police spokesman.

Therefore, on April 15th and 16th, the police in the state capital will take the following measures in addition to the penalty payment:

  • Due to the "Car Friday" a twelve-hour special police operation is planned in the city center.

  • Control points will be set up on the banks of the Rhine and on Königsallee and will be inspected until Friday night (April 15/16).

"Autoposers" cause problems in Düsseldorf on Königsallee and Mannesmannufer

There have long been problems in Düsseldorf with so-called autoposers, who keep stepping on the gas pedal, for example on Königsallee, or posing on Mannesmannufer, where a barrier was even set up in May 2021.

"In recent years, more and more drivers have been noticed who tried to draw attention to themselves by roaring the engine loudly and accelerating quickly on very short journeys," the city and police explain.

Düsseldorf takes action against Autoposer – are there relapses on “Car-Friday”?

This should ideally come to an end with the increased fines.

So far, the new order with the mandatory fields has already been issued against 15 drivers who have become conspicuous.

And since then, none of these autoposers have relapsed.
