A suspicion has been investigated that a gift sent from the Chinese embassy to one of the ministers 'offices in recent days contained espionage measures, officials in government offices' offices confirmed this morning (Tuesday).
The GSS said that an investigation had been opened into the matter.

The suspicion was first reported this morning in IDF waves. According to the publication, the suspect is in a routine inspection of a thermal cup sent as a gift to one of the government offices from the Chinese embassy.
Sources in the offices of three ministers said that following the detection of the suspicious finding, security officers in some government ministers sent instructions to ministerial offices regarding refinement of procedures regarding gifts received from foreign sources.
Sources noted that the directive had specific reference to gifts coming from Chinese sources.
