Kim Kardashian didn't expect love to come with Pete Davidson.
In a conversation on Hoda Kotb's "Making Space" podcast, Kardashian explained that she had been single for about 10 months before feeling like she was ready to date again.
"I think, you know, sometimes things happen when you least expect it. It was the last thing I planned on," he said.
"So when it happened, we were like, 'God, I wasn't planning this. This isn't even what I was thinking about,' and it just makes it that much sweeter and funnier."

Kardashian and Davidson appeared on a "Saturday Night Live" segment together last fall where they kissed.
They made their relationship official on Instagram in March.

"I definitely took my time," Kardashian said.
"I took, you know, like 10 months or so before dating or talking to anyone. And I just wanted that time to understand and go through the whole process: 'Am I making the right decision? How do I feel about it?'
So once I went through all of that, I finally said, 'I think I'm ready to meet someone now. And out of nowhere, it happened."
Despite their extremely public relationship, Kardashian says she keeps some aspects of her time with Davidson private.
"I do think I keep a few more things to myself, in some aspects of my relationship with Pete, and it feels good to know that we have this connection and that we have this relationship bubble that we live in that a lot of people don't know about." said.
For now, Kardashian said just being with Davidson makes her smile.
"We were driving yesterday and I turned to him and said 'Thank you.' And he was like, 'What?' just running errands. I'm having so much fun."
