Because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, long-standing friendships of President Vladimir Putin are suffering.
Moscow – The war against Ukraine has shaken the western world.
Politicians are united in distancing themselves from Russia's attack on its neighboring country.
Many celebrities have also spoken out against the war – Vladimir Putin* has only a few supporters.
But one of them is the actor Steven Seagal.
According to information from the Guardian, Seagal celebrated his 70th birthday in Moscow* on Sunday (04/10/2022) with an impressive party.
Seagal did not spare words of support for the Ukraine conflict*.
He called Putin's annexation of Crimea in Ukraine "very sensible" and described him as "one of the greatest living leaders in the world."

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine* began, he has doubled his support for Putin, saying in a recent interview that an "external entity" is to blame for the two countries being played off against one another.
The actor has long had a close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and received Russian citizenship in 2016.
Actor Gérard Depardieu is also known for his close friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, he was one of the first among his supporters to condemn the war of aggression against Ukraine, according to the Guardian.
He denounced "the crazy, unacceptable excesses of its leaders like Vladimir Putin" in Ukraine and called on Russia* to "lay down your arms and negotiate." Depardieu has held Russian citizenship since 2013.

Depardieu's comments sparked anger in Russia, and Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the actor "didn't quite understand" the situation in Ukraine.
Some Russian officials have urged Putin to strip Depardieu of his Russian citizenship.
On Saturday (04/09/2022) the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was deeply disappointed by his former friend Vladimir Putin *.
Russia is responsible for "the horror of the massacres of civilians in Bucha and other places, real war crimes".
In 2014, shortly after the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, Berlusconi is said to have visited a local vineyard with Vladimir Putin.
