A serious accident occurred on the Flughafentangente Ost (FTO) on Monday.
A car and a truck collided.
Two people in the car were seriously injured.

- Serious accident on the Flughafentangente Ost (FTO) between the A94 and the Markt Schwaben junction.
The two occupants of the car were seriously injured in the collision between a truck and a car, the police said.
The accident happened on Monday, April 11, around 1:30 p.m.
Accident on the airport tangent: Witnesses – Mercedes suddenly drove into the oncoming lane
According to uninvolved witnesses, the car, a Mercedes, was traveling in the direction of Markt Schwaben and shortly after the bridge construction of the local connecting road between Poing and Anzing, suddenly turned left onto the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the oncoming truck.
The 35-year-old truck driver, who was slightly injured, could no longer avoid it.
The collision threw the car into the ditch.
The two male elderly car occupants were trapped with serious injuries and had to be freed by the fire brigade.
They were taken to nearby hospitals by rescue helicopter or ambulance.

Both vehicles involved came from the district or the city of Munich.
The damage caused is estimated at several 10,000 euros.

The state road had to be closed, the traffic is being guided past the scene of the accident by the emergency services.
A long backlog formed.

The fire brigades from Anzing, Markt Schwaben, Gelting, Forstinning, Parsdorf and representatives of the district fire inspection (a total of approx. 60 emergency services), as well as a rescue helicopter, four ambulances, three emergency doctors and four patrol vehicles were deployed at the scene of the accident.
The state road had to be closed, the traffic is being guided past the scene of the accident by the emergency services.
