Angela Komina and her colleagues, who have just trained in haute couture at Renaissance in Villejuif, a fashion integration workshop, are taking part in an original fundraiser until April 15.

The public is invited to buy one or more tickets at 10 euros from Renaissance via the Helloasso.com online platform.

These funds will then be donated to Doctors of the World to provide emergency medical aid to the Ukrainian population, hard hit by the war.

But that's not all: "A draw will be made to designate the winner of a haute couture dress from upcycling and belonging to the workshop's latest couture collection. It will be offered free of charge by the association. “, we explain at Renaissance.

This dress estimated at 25,000 euros was made by the seamstresses in insertion of the Atelier Renaissance in Villejuif and is used to raise funds for the benefit of Ukraine.

This outfit, consisting of a skirt, a bustier and a corset belt covered in rhinestones, was made from fabrics inherited from the wedding trousseau of a young Romanian.

The set represents three months of work by hand by a seamstress employed by the association, assisted by a few other trainees.

“Its value is estimated at 25,000 euros given the time it took to make it,” says Renaissance.

For Angela Komina and her companions in the workshop, the situation is hard to live with because, although many have been living in France for many years now, a large part of their families and loved ones were still living in Ukraine when the conflict broke out. sets off.
