Ukraine doubts.
In a message to the press, an adviser to the Ukrainian presidency explained on Tuesday that “negotiations are extremely difficult” with Moscow, in particular with a view to a ceasefire.
"The Russian side is sticking to its traditional tactics of public pressure on the negotiation process, in particular by means of certain declarations", regretted Mykhaïlo Podoliak.
These pessimistic statements from kyiv follow the words of Vladimir Putin.
“I was informed last night that the Ukrainian side had changed something again.
Such a lack of consistency on fundamental points creates difficulties,” Vladimir Putin said earlier on Monday.
According to him, the Ukrainian negotiators are preventing reaching an agreement between kyiv and Moscow to put an end to the Russian offensive in Ukraine.
Discussions continue “online” according to kyiv
The Russian-Ukrainian negotiations are a major sticking point in the war in Ukraine.
kyiv accuses Moscow of using the talks to buy time and of not respecting humanitarian corridors, while Russia regularly criticizes Ukraine's way of negotiating, in particular for its "lack of coherence".
Several hundred bodies of civilians, according to the Ukrainian authorities, have been found in recent days in towns around kyiv, including Boutcha and Irpin, after the withdrawal of Russian troops from this region at the end of March.
Moscow denies any involvement and denounces a "staging" orchestrated by the Ukrainians and intended to harm it.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24, Russia and Ukraine have multiplied talks, without success so far.
In his message to the press, Mykhaïlo Podoliak simply slipped that the discussions between the two parties continued "online".
