STORY – The photo of the hand of a victim of Boutcha moved the whole world: it was through it that Olga Shchyruk discovered the death of her mother.


Thus, her name was Iryna Filkina, she was to celebrate her 53rd birthday on April 1.

But everyone, from neighbors to family friends, preferred to call her "Mama Ira."

Even the concierge of a hotel on the shores of the Black Sea, where she stayed for the first time two years ago, took to calling her that.

She was like that, Iryna, ready to welcome the whole world into her arms.

Her daughters often said to her:

"How can all these people, even strangers, love you as soon as they see you?"
