The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, visited this evening the Ramadan Good Festival “Syria brings us together” held in the old exhibition city in Damascus, and was briefed on a number of pavilions and discount offers offered by the participating industrial and commercial companies.

In a statement to the media after the tour, Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of the festival as it offers a large variety of goods that satisfy the tastes of consumers and embodies the need for all participants to cooperate in alleviating the economic burdens on citizens, noting the efforts made by the national business sector, exhibitors and the Syrian Trade Establishment to give an imprint through this festival.

Arnous praised the distinguished participation in the festival for the wounded and the productive families, and said, “These festivals enjoy generous support and care from President Bashar al-Assad and Ms. Asma al-Assad, and the great participation of exhibitors and the remarkable turnout by citizens is evidence of the positive role of these festivals, which have become an annual tradition played by all The authorities, especially in the month of Ramadan, to be a month of goodness and giving to all.”

The Prime Minister stressed the continuation of government support for these festivals by providing facilities to industrialists by securing exemptions for imports necessary for the production process and loans that support industry and industrialists so that these festivals take a social character that attracts all families and meets their needs, expressing his hope that traders will exceed the issue of profit and contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens by providing All they can in this blessed month.

The Ministers of Local Administration, Environment, Economy, Foreign Trade, Industry, Internal Trade, Consumer Protection, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Governor of Damascus, and a number of representatives of economic and trade activities participated in the tour.

The festival, which is being held by Damascus Governorate in cooperation with the Damascus and Rural Chambers of Industry and the Damascus and Rural Chambers of Commerce, was opened on the third of this month, with the participation of 250 national industrial and commercial companies.

Participants in the festival present a variety of food products, including confectionery, canned goods, sweets, pasta and jams, in addition to detergents of all kinds, women's, men's and children's clothing, leather and household electrical appliances.
