DHL messenger prevented fire in day care center: parcel pick-up ticket goes viral - "Deserves a medal!"

A DHL messenger actually only wanted to deliver a package - and courageously intervened in an emergency situation.
The note he left delighted many Twitter users.
Kronshagen - A DHL parcel carrier unexpectedly became a hero.
The messenger originally only wanted to deliver a package to the kindergarten in Kronshagen (Schleswig-Holstein).
Once there, he acted quickly in an emergency situation - and rushed to the first floor.
Now, around three years after the incident, in April 2022, the message on the delivery note he left went viral again via Twitter.

In the kindergarten kitchen, the postman discovered that the cover of a stove was closed and was smoldering, as reported by the

The rising smoke had already set off a fire alarm.
The postman therefore turned off the stove, opened the cover, turned off the smoke detector and opened the window to ventilate.
Before he left the kindergarten to do his job, he left a delivery note on the package.
“Hello, it was open;
the smoke detector howled, ... I turned off the stove and opened the window.
Parcel is at the entrance... Kind regards, Frahm, Post AG.” That was his message on the collection slip.

When the smoke alarm sounded, the mothers, children and educators - a total of 15 people - made their way to safety through the back entrance and, according to

, immediately alerted the fire brigade.
When the emergency services arrived, the DHL messenger had already taken care of everything.
"Mr. Frahm recognized the problem himself, solved it on his own and doesn't even want any recognition for it, he just wants to continue doing his job!" Said a police officer in 2019 to the

, adding, impressed: "So much initiative and commitment is something you can only wish for from everyone.” Even then, the postman received a lot of encouragement for his actions via Facebook.
Twitter users are enthusiastic: "This person deserves a medal!"
A post on Twitter showing the pick-up slip that was left behind received enthusiastic reactions from users even years later.
"Very well done!" wrote one user, and another commented, "This person deserves a medal!".
"This man should be awarded the Federal Cross of Merit," responded another user.
The Twitter post received over 22,000 likes (as of April 11, 2022) and thousands of comments.
Parcel carriers have a bad day too.
But the message from a delivery person angered some on Twitter.
The company is investigating the case.
