The Ministry of Tourism announced today the start of completing all preparations and preparations for the establishment of the 42nd International Flower Show in Tishreen Park in Damascus, which will last 17 days from June 22 to July 9.

In a statement to SANA, the Director of Damascus Tourism, Zuhair Erzurumli, explained that this year's exhibition includes cities for flowers and ornamental plants, as well as cultural, recreational and heritage cities, including the cultural highlights of the Syrian heritage registered on the World Heritage List, a book fair, a corner for reading and entertainment, a circus, a theater, a play city, a zoo and an open-air cinema. While the heritage includes a display of traditional crafts and their education, household handicrafts, traditional clothes and musical instruments, in addition to a bee kingdom to display the products and supplies of the hive.

Erzurumli indicated that the exhibition will be accompanied by a number of activities and events that encourage domestic tourism. Tourist information centers will be reopened and Syrian products will be displayed, in addition to the participation of a number of companies working in the field of providing services such as communications, organizing exhibitions, printing, cleaning, guarding, an event for Arabian horses, a football match, a tourist marathon and a carnival Classic and Bicycle Racing.

Erzurumli pointed out that the ministry sent internal and external invitations through the Syrian embassies in various Arab and foreign countries to those wishing to participate in the exhibition and is working to secure all services for those wishing to participate, such as transportation, feeding, accommodation, and fountains of drinking and watering, pointing out that what will distinguish the exhibition this year from an organizational point of view is the allocation of entrances and exits Especially for the elderly and people with disabilities to facilitate their movement.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition activities are held in cooperation with the governorate of Damascus, the ministries of agriculture, agrarian reform, culture and information, the Federation of Chambers of “Tourism, Agriculture, Industry and Commerce”, the General Sports Federation, the General Union of Craftsmen, the Chambers of Damascus Tourism and Agriculture, and the private sector.
