As reported by the police, a 27-year-old should be subjected to a traffic check on Tuesday (April 12, 2022) on the A67 near Lorsch in Hesse.

But the driver of the Audi decided to try to escape.

Via Viernheim we headed towards Kaiserslautern.

It was only just before the Ludwigshafen junction that the speeder rammed his car into a police vehicle.

The 27-year-old lost control of his Audi and crashed into the crash barriers several times, only then did the car come to a standstill.

The young man suffered minor injuries and was arrested by the police.

During the search of the vehicle, the officers were able to secure various narcotics - including a large amount of crystal meth - and brass knuckles.

In addition, the fleeing vehicle was neither registered nor insured.

The attached French license plates belonged to another vehicle.

Since the 27-year-old was obviously under the influence of narcotics, a blood sample was taken from him.

The homeless suspect is now expected to appear in court for a further decision.
