The weather models for Bavaria do not seem to be very sure.
Yesterday (6 p.m.), the American weather model still showed snow and sleet on Easter Monday down to low altitudes in Bavaria, as weather expert Dominik Jung explains in a video.
Franconia in particular, especially the metropolitan region of Nuremberg, are colored purple on the map, which means snowfall.
At midnight on Tuesday, the model no longer showed any snow at all.

Weather in Bavaria: Is snow still possible on Easter Monday?
The reason for the ambiguity: The earlier forecast calculated the high over Great Britain weaker than the midnight forecast, explains Jung.
However, he warns: "Our Easter weather is by no means certain." At the moment, Easter Sunday in particular is looking very friendly.
Whether that will also be the case on Easter Monday remains to be seen, as the lows over Eastern Europe would then be "very close" to Bavaria.
The forecasts would currently “jump back and forth”.

Weather at Easter: Thunderstorms with blood rain are approaching Bavaria
"On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, thunderstorms with heavy rain are possible, especially in southern Germany," said Jung in his weather forecast on Wednesday.
These are the first real heat thunderstorms in 2022. Sahara dust would also move to Germany from North Africa.
The Sahara dust can then be "washed" out of the atmosphere by the thunderstorms, which is then referred to as the phenomenon of blood rain.
Just a few weeks ago, Sahara dust colored the sky over Bavaria reddish-yellow.
The spectacular weather phenomenon was particularly easy to observe in Upper Bavaria and caused a number of dirty cars.
According to weather models, northern Bavaria is particularly affected by the thunderstorms.
"Individual thunderstorms with potential for heavy rain," expects Jung there.
The temperatures on these days are between 14 and 23 degrees.
On Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday it will be sunny again in Freistaat, also in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg.
However, the temperatures are falling and the maximum values are only 17 degrees.
