The artist Al-Khatib, who works as a music teacher at the institute, explained that the month of Ramadan has a speciality and is an opportunity to present traditional songs because we do not hear them on ordinary days, pointing out that the task of reviving heritage and transmitting it to generations falls on the shoulders of music teachers before others.

The choir troupe also presented Muwashahat Ymir Ajab, O Joy of the Spirit, and Glory be to Your Sentence, in addition to an Aleppo lyric link on the maqam of the Bayat.

Tariq Al-Aseel, Executive Director of Al-Mawlawi Company, stated that the selection of chants, supplications, muwashahat and authentic Tarab songs came as an affirmation of the role of intangible heritage and its revival and raising the artistic taste of the audience and viewers, in addition to reviving the memory of the great departed artists from the time of fine art.

In turn, the director of the work, Mamdouh Kaddour, pointed out the importance of preserving the musical heritage, Andalusian poems, and traditional songs with cultural content, and the importance of presenting these artistic paragraphs on Ramadan evenings and others to provide comfort for the soul and soul.

Musician Sari Abdel Hamid, a teacher at the Teachers’ Preparation Institute, explained that his interest in musical heritage prompted him to participate in founding the “Aalbal” band, which relies on the oriental takht to present traditional music and high-level songs to the recipient with the aim of presenting high-end and important songs that the new generation does not know in light of the dominance of electronic music these days.

Among the members of the choir troupe, Duha Muhammad, Mustafa Khatib, Hajar Al-Ahmad and Ahmad Hammoud expressed their happiness at presenting the muwashshahat, the Aleppo links, and the Aleppo Qudoud, and the importance of reviving this type of songs.
