Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced the complete liberation of the Mariupol commercial sea port from the militants of the Ukrainian extremist Azov battalion.

Russia Today quoted Konashenkov as saying that in addition to the operation to liberate the port, all the hostages who were held on board the ships in the port were released, including foreigners, noting that the remnants of the units of the Ukrainian forces and the Azov Nazis in the city were besieged and prevented from any opportunity to escape.

On the other hand the Russian Defense Ministry warned that the Russian army would strike the decision-making centers in Kyiv if acts of sabotage against targets Ukrainian continued on Russian territory.

Konashenkov explained that there are attempts of sabotage and strikes by the Ukrainian forces on targets in Russian territory, and that if these incidents continue, the Russian armed forces will strike decision-making centers, including in Kyiv, which the Russian army has refrained from striking so far.

Meanwhile, Konashenkov explained that the Russian forces destroyed during the day 36 enemy targets with high-precision weapons, including two weapons depots, five military posts and a command center.

He added that the Russian Air Force also destroyed ten Ukrainian military sites, including a command center, three ammunition depots, and six areas for gathering weapons and military equipment, noting that since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, 130 aircraft, 103 helicopters, 244 air defense systems, 447 drones, 2,173 tanks and armored vehicles and 937 have been destroyed.
