Märtha Louise and her partner Durek Verrett have had to overcome a number of problems.
A dark chapter from the shaman's past is now causing a stir again.
Oslo – Even if not a few royal fans are still critical of the relationship between Princess Märtha Louise (50) and Durek Verrett (47), the two have been holding on to their love for several years.
There was even talk of an imminent wedding.
However, the American's dramatic past is making headlines again.

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway seems to have found her true love in the shaman Durek Verrett.
The professional practices of the spiritual healer and shaman are controversial, but he probably won the heart of Crown Prince Haakon's (48) sister without any spook or magic.
Durek is also respected and valued in the Norwegian royal family.
After all, he even called King Harald V (85) “Dad” in a personal birthday greeting.
However, the relationship happiness of Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett was only overshadowed a few weeks ago by the serious illness of the 47-year-old.
According to reports, he urgently needs another donor kidney.

Currently, however, completely different problems are causing an uproar in the palace that have nothing to do with the health of the American.
In a podcast, Durek spoke about his time in prison.
The conversation was recorded in 2019, but only recently brought to light by "Se og Hør".
In the interview at the time, Durek had reported honestly and unembellished on what was probably the darkest chapter of his life, long before he met the Norwegian royals.

"I got in trouble with the law.
There was an abandoned house nearby and I organized a party there because my father wouldn't let me throw parties at home.
Some older teenagers showed up at the party, they wrote their names on the floor with pure alcohol and lit it.
The flames spread and we couldn't put them out, so the whole house caught fire," quoted "Svensk Damtidning" from the podcast.
When the incident happened, Princess Märtha Louise's partner said she was about 16 years old.
He was then arrested a little later because of his role as organizer of the party and held accountable.
As he himself explained, according to "Svensk Damtidning", he had been in prison for around twelve months, three of them in solitary confinement.

The time was hard and traumatizing, but also very instructive for him.
"I learned I had to have this experience because it taught me things I needed to learn.
Things that are useful when I want to help others,” says the shaman.
He appreciates his freedom all the more today.
