An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale hit the Fyn area of Hormozgan Province, southeast of Iran, without causing any casualties or material damage.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Institute of Tehran University, the tremor was felt by the residents of the suburbs of Fyn, Farghan, Hajiabad and Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province and was 18 kilometers deep from the surface of the earth.
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake hit the ports of Maqam and Parsian in Hormozgan province last month.
