Within the activities of the festival (Young Seniors.. Arts brings us together), which is organized by the Ministry of Education in various governorates, the central festival at the city level was held today at the Martyr Fahim Muhammad High School in Baniyas, which included a diverse artistic concert that included lyrical and poetic paragraphs and dancing paintings presented by a number of children from a number of Schools of the city and its countryside.
The supervisor of the educational complex in Baniyas, Safi Al-Assaf, said in a statement to SANA that the paragraphs participating in the central festival were chosen after an evaluation of the selection conducted by a specialized committee, knowing that paragraphs from today’s festival will be selected later to participate in the central festival in the governorate, which will be held in the Tartous Education Directorate.
Al-Assaf pointed out the importance of such festivals at the school level, because they work to activate the artworks and increase the partnership between the high school team itself and the school gatherings to discover talents at the level of the educational complex and refine them to develop the student’s personality and increase his skills, which positively reflects on the spirit of competition between students and students.
Nasr Saad, director of the secondary school, pointed out the importance of the festival as a new idea, where the students' talents appear in an organized manner, explaining that the festival included very distinctive artistic segments that reflected the interest of student schools' administrations, as the festival is at the level of Baniyas.
In turn, music teacher Maher Mohi El-Din Othman from Martyr Akram Maarouf High School, who is participating in the festival with a choir for students, pointed out that the festival is a message with the students’ voices to the hearts of people, while the director of Al-Greer School Ziad Qassam, who is participating with a group of his students in a lyrical and artistic piece for football, pointed out that the festival It is a very important occasion to discover, develop and nurture talents.
The festival included many segments that began with a group choir, singing and dancing, and playing musical instruments such as the oud and the organ, including solo playing, solo singing and short plays, in addition to the traditional choir, as well as an organ-playing segment by student Boutros Sayegh and the singing of student Dalal Lulu.
