Asael, who will lead a beacon on the 74th Independence Day of the State of Israel, Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper announced today (Thursday).

After a long rehabilitation in the hospital and strenuous training, he became the Israeli swimming champion and proudly represented Israel in international swimming competitions.

The fighting spirit and love for the sport in which he also took with him to the basketball courts.

He joined the Israeli basketball team, and was even recruited as a leading player in the best league in the world in the disabled basketball industry.


In his extraordinary confrontation with the difficult tragedy that befell him, Asahel represents the triumph of the spirit of creation, construction and doing.

In recent years he has returned to the basketball courts, where he made his first steps, and today he coaches young people with disabilities in all shades of the Israeli rainbow.

In addition, he also lectures to teens and teens across the country about his coping with the challenges in his life.
