With an exhibition by Maria Janßen, pictures can be seen again in the old pharmacy in Benediktbeuern for the first time after a long Corona break.

Start is on Maundy Thursday, April 14th.

Benediktbeuern/Bichl – Maria Janßen shows around 30 pictures under the motto “Easter exhibition”.

The support group for customs and culture from Benediktbeuern invites all art lovers to visit.

The 34-year-old artist comes from Lenggries, studied social work at the Catholic Foundation University in Benediktbeuern and now lives in Bichl.

As early as 2019 she exhibited her paintings at the Center for Environment and Culture, and in 2020 she organized a garden exhibition at Calvary in Lenggries.

Two exhibition dates

"I'm self-taught," says the 34-year-old about her style and her varied motifs.

She actually "always liked to paint," says Janßen.

"Things really got going during my studies and as a balance to work." She usually takes photos of the motifs in order to then put them on the canvas at home in peace.

Janßen not only likes large-format floral motifs, but also loves landscapes with clouds, the sea or mountains and mood lighting.

Depending on the format and motif, she uses oil, acrylic or watercolor paints.

In Benediktbeuern there are "cheerful, friendly and colorful motifs to match the blossoming of spring," she announces.

The pictures can be seen from Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The show is also open on the weekend of April 22nd to 24th.

Admission is free.

The old pharmacy is located at Kochler Strasse 14. More information about the artist is also available online at www.marias-traumfabrik.de
