"It went perfectly," says Josef Harraßer from the technical building authority of the municipality of Gmund, looking at the construction work in the town center with satisfaction.

The road will be free again from Thursday evening, April 14th.

Gmund - Since the end of March, a construction company has been digging through the B 307 from Max-Obermayer-Strasse in the direction of Mannhardtstrasse to lay new medium-voltage cables for the Tegernsee power station.

"If everything continues to go so well, and that is almost 100% the case, then the last stretch, crossing under the main road in the direction of Mannhartdstrasse, will be done on Thursday evening," announces Harraßer.

This means that traffic, which was previously only able to flow in one lane and towards the north during the day, will then have free rein in both directions again.

The large-scale bypass, which also brought disadvantages for business people, is then a thing of the past.

The fact that the weather was good and that asphalt was already available accelerated the work, says Harraßer.

By the way: everything from the region is also available in our regular Tegernsee newsletter.

Construction work in Gmund: Renewed obstacles from July

It will probably be a new one from mid-July.

A little later than planned, the barrier-free bus stop will be built at the level of the existing crossing aid and two longitudinal parking spaces on Tegernseer Straße.

"For this, a one-way regulation is necessary again," says Harraßer.

The completion of Max-Obermayer-Straße, where the cables are currently being laid under the railway track, and the improvement of the entry radius at Fischerweg are further measures before the renovation of Seestraße is also tackled this year.

"The folk festival can take place as planned," announces Harraßer on behalf of the community and already thanks the drivers and residents who have been understanding so far.
