Six people suspected of fraud through fraudulent investments of crypto-assets, and money laundering in an organized gang, were arrested in Israel, said Thursday, April 14 the prosecution of the Interregional Specialized Jurisdiction (Jirs) of Bordeaux, originally of the investigation.

The suspects are accused of having defrauded, between 2018 and 2019, a total of 12 million euros from more than 500 victims via fraudulent investments on false investment platforms in crypto-assets and on a site counterfeiting a civil society of asset management, detailed in a press release the prosecutor of the Republic of Bordeaux, Frédérique Porterie.

Accounts opened in Europe

According to investigators from Jirs de Bordeaux, the funds were placed in accounts opened in Europe, mainly in Portugal, “
