On the Gautinger Straße in Weßling, a one-sided bicycle protection strip has been applied uphill in the direction of Oberpfaffenhofen.

- Since last week there has been a one-sided bicycle protection strip on Gautinger Straße between Untere Seefeldstraße (pharmacy) and Adelbergweg in Weßling.
The community reports this.
The protective strip is 1.50 meters wide, the rest of the road is between 4.50 and 4.80 meters.
The protective strip runs on one side in the direction of Oberpfaffenhofen, "because the lane is not wide enough for two-way execution and because there are significantly greater speed differences between motor vehicle and bicycle traffic uphill than downhill," according to the municipality.
Motor vehicles may only drive over the protective strip if necessary.
Bicycle traffic must not be endangered, and a minimum overtaking distance of 1.50 meters must be maintained in built-up areas.
In addition, there is an absolute ban on stopping on the protective strip.

Rural youth ignited Easter fire
The rural youth of Oberpfaffenhofen-Hochstadt will light another Easter bonfire on Holy Saturday, April 16th.
The fireplace is in the Ried in Oberpfaffenhofen, the exact location is signposted.
"Anyone can deliver trees and shrubs from 9 a.m. on the day of the fire," says Hannah Wastian from the rural youth.
"There is always one of the rural youth on site who checks everything, since of course no treated wood or wood with metal may be delivered." The fire is lit at dusk.
"The rural youth provides food and drink and is happy about everyone who comes by," says Hannah Wastian.
