Today (14th) at about 9 pm, the police received a report to a Thai-style skewer shop at the junction of Jia Bingda Road, Kowloon City, near Longgang Road. A woman reported seeing a non-Chinese man pouring scum on the shop. The two sons, aged 6 and 8, were splashed and injured their hands and feet.
Fire and police officers arrived at the scene to deal with the incident. Initially, a total of 5 people were injured, including 3 women and 2 boys. Ambulancemen arrived at the scene to treat the injured and sent them to the hospital.
According to information at the scene, after preliminary investigation by the police, it is believed that a male suspect wearing dark clothes and riding a bicycle was pouring scum outside the store with a container when the suspect was passing by the site. About six diners were waiting outside the store at the time. Food, initially five people were injured by the sputum splashing on their skin, and the man then fled in the direction of Dongtou Village Road.
The case is now classified as a wounding investigation.

The skewer shop involved also had a case of wounding people by pouring septic fluid in March last year. The 44-year-old male owner of the snack shop was splashed with corrosive liquid suspected of draining water at the time, and he suffered multiple injuries.
After investigation, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of "splashing corrosive liquid with intent to cause grievous bodily harm".
When the police detained the person, they found that the juvenile had multiple lower body parts, including his legs, and was suspected of being injured by a splash of sputum.
