Lam Cheng said that only over 60% and over 70% of the children aged 3 to 11 and the elderly over 70 who received the first dose of the vaccine were far lower than other age groups.
As the protective efficacy of the vaccine may diminish over time, Lam calls on citizens who have not been vaccinated to act immediately, and those who have been vaccinated should also be vaccinated in a timely manner.

The government announced earlier that people aged 60 or above who have received three doses of the vaccine can receive the fourth dose three months after the third dose.
Eligible persons can go to various vaccination centers to collect "same day" injections, or make appointments through the online system.
