The government's inter-departmental red tide working group stated that the first red tide was discovered by the public on the 10th of this month in the waters between Cyberport and Waterfall Bay Park.
On the 11th of this month, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department found a red tide at Shuangsimen, including the Hok Tsui Coastal Reserve. Eight red tides were observed at Bay Beach, Shek O Beach, Big Wave Bay Beach, St. Stephen's Beach, and Pui O Beach on Lantau Island.
On the 12th of this month, the LCSD found four red tides at Stanley Main Beach on Hong Kong Island, Hung Shing Yeh Beach on Lamma Island, and Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach on Lantau Island.
The government's inter-departmental red tide task force has detected 14 red tides in the past week.

Government receives no fish kill report
