During the first quarter of this year, the Suwayda Credit Bank granted loans worth 3 billion and 307 million pounds, benefiting 1,313 citizens.
The director of the bank, Adham Al-Attar, told SANA reporter that the loans granted were distributed as 1,300 loans worth 3 billion and 135 million pounds to people with low incomes from state workers and military and civilian retirees on the insurance and pension law, and 13 loans of micro-loans in addition to service loans for scientific professionals worth 172 million pounds.
Al-Attar indicated that the bank is witnessing a demand for loans after raising its ceiling to 5 million pounds for one borrower who meets the terms and instructions for lending and the repayment period of up to 7 years, as well as benefiting from the advantage of prepayment of loans to obtain loans with new ceilings in addition to the facilities provided in terms of accepting a guarantee Retirees and only one guarantor for loans below 2 million pounds.
Al-Attar pointed out that the bank provided, during the past three months, 11,750 various banking services, in addition to providing monthly pension transfer services to about 3,000 retirees, with a total value of about 450 million pounds.
Last year, the Suwayda Credit Bank granted loans worth more than 5 billion and 700 million pounds, benefiting 4,026 citizens.
