A production line in the Yarmouk Mill in Daraa Governorate has returned to work after carrying out the necessary maintenance operations, with the aim of securing part of the flour supply needed for the needs of the bakeries.

The director of the Yarmouk Mill, Ammar Al-Miqdad, told SANA reporter that the line belonging to the service is a compact line with a production capacity of 30-40 tons per day if it is operated around the clock, pointing out that the line is in experimental operation and grinds daily an amount ranging between 8 and 10 tons of soft wheat .

Miqdad stressed that the workers of the only Yarmouk Mill in the governorate are making double efforts in order to secure part of the flour supply needed for the needs of the bakeries within the required specifications and quality, while the rest of the needs are secured through the mills of Damascus, Tartous and Aleppo.

For his part, the Director of the Syrian Grain Branch, Engineer Essam Al-Sayasneh, stated that the mill includes, in addition to a compact line, two production lines with a daily capacity of 220 tons, and each line is 110 tons. Work as a shortage of specialized technicians.

Al-Sayasneh praised the efforts made by the Foundation within the available capabilities to secure a large part of the governorate's needs of flour, pointing out that the soft wheat is imported from the grain silo and center in Izraa.
