A man armed with a pistol-like object broke into the bank to intimidate staff and successfully stole about $14,000. After cash, he fled without a trace.
According to sources, the police arrested a 73-year-old suspect involved in the case at Yuangang Village, Kam Shang Road, Pat Heung that night.
It is understood that the suspect is an overseas Chinese of Singaporean nationality. After overstaying for a long time, the police recovered some of the stolen money and the toy gun used in the suspected crime.
