Germering - coloring eggs, hiding chocolate Easter eggs in the garden and letting the children look for them again or baking an Easter braid - everyone has their own Easter tradition, which they will celebrate in the coming days.
Traditions are important and must be kept alive.
The Förderverein Heimatpflege Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering has also committed itself to the motto.
The association has been maintaining the tradition of decorating the Easter fountain since 2004.
Due to Corona, this had to be canceled in 2020 and held in a slimmed-down form in 2021.
This year, however, the Jakobsbrunnen on the Salzstraße should once again shine in all its glory.
The members met a few weeks in advance to tie the garlands from a mix of boxwood, thuja and ivy.
According to the members, new ones were needed this year.
The garlands have already been tied.

Easter customs across the county
The colorful eggs were painted by the students of the Kleinfeld School a few years ago.
Now they are stored, ready to be painstakingly attached to the fountain year after year.
The custom, originally from Franconia, has also found its way into other communities in the district in recent years - Unterpfaffenhofen was the pioneer of this custom.
While the town centers of Mittelstetten and Fürstenfeldbruck also have an Easter fountain, Eichenau and Maisach, for example, rely on Easter crowns.
