The Hezui Coastal Reserve had an accident at 3 o'clock this afternoon (15th). The police received reports from multiple tourists that a middle-aged man accidentally fell into the sea and was floating and sinking in the sea about 20 meters offshore.
After the police received the report, they once sent a flight service team to the scene for search and rescue. The man was finally rescued by the marine police boat. When the man was rescued, he was unconscious and had to use an automatic extracardiac compression machine to be sent to the Eastern District Hospital for rescue.
The man was confirmed dead after being sent to the hospital, and the police are investigating the cause of his fall into the sea.

According to the website of the Agriculture and Fisheries Department, the department does not encourage the public to visit the Hok Tsui Marine Reserve.
Swimming, diving and any boating activities are also prohibited in the marine reserve.
Offenders can be convicted, fined $25,000 and imprisoned for one year.
