The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked worshipers in it, a flagrant violation of international law, calling for those responsible for this brutal aggression to be held accountable.
Mansour said in a statement reported by Wafa Agency that the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque caused the injury of more than 150 Palestinians with bullets and poison gas bombs, including paramedics and journalists, in addition to the arrest of about 400 others, damage inside the blessed mosque and the smashing of some of its windows, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and implement its relevant decisions. To end the occupation and stop its continuing crimes against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.
Mansour pointed out that international condemnation of the crimes of the occupation and the terrorism of its settlers is not enough, as decisive international efforts must be followed to stop these crimes, hold those responsible to account and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
